Hero shot: Illustrates how it collaborates with its natural
landscape. There is a delicate ensemble of curved figures (representative of
AutoFabrica’s motorbikes with classy curves, elements include the curved stairs
and ramp as well as the curved waterbowl fountain and floating rings and ground
supports), juxtaposed with the bold and sharp edginess of Offwhite (with
elements such as the floating rectangles
and the sharply-cut stairs leading up). The rectangles and the rings are leveled, reaching
towards the sky, progressive like my clients’ style, whilst resonating with how the building is leveled
nicely on the mountainous terrain. The vast area on ground mimics a park for
anyone to relax and explore- with two small showroom booths, vending machines
and benches, as well as the clients works. In fact, i had intended my building to be set in a park setting as my clients, especially AutoFabrica, will have customers who would want to try out the bikes, and the Offwhite customers would likely be young adults who possibly like skating etc. with friends, and hence many customers would love to use the area as a recreation spot as well as a shopping spot.
Detail shot: The glass ceiling is overpowered by the
waterbowl fountain above, balanced on the ‘floating’ rings. When one is in this
vast area they can realise how the building interacts with its topography, as they
view the mountain tops expanding a distance. They can also closely inspect the railings of the stairs that gracefully lead down.
Note: for some unknown reason the rendering created a lot of shadows, which is why my stairs (leading up), look all black when it's meant to be black and white.
